ALL COURSE DETAILS ARE SUBJECT TO AN APPROVED TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT PLAN
Please note for 2018 the transition area will move to the lower car park due to increased participants. Parking will be at Charlotte Jane Quay which is a 2.5km ride or a ~1.5km walk along the track (the same as has been done with the Ocean Swim the past years).
The swim will be triangular laps of 500m in Corsair Bay
Olympic = 3 laps for 1500m
Short Course = 1 lap for 500m
The bike is a hilly ride around the harbour.
Olympic = 39km straight out and back to just past Orton Bradley Park and back.
Short course = 13km (to Dyers Pass intersection and back)
Laps of 5km. There is a mix of off road and road running with a good hill climb up Cressy Tce each lap
Olympic = 2 laps = 10km
Short course = 1 shorter lap = 3.3km (shorter lap - course map TBC)
Olympic = first run is 5km (1 lap) then follow the same course as the Tri. The start will be on the beach behind the swim start.
Short Course = first run is a shortened lap of 1.7km (run along the track then turn left when you hit the footpath). The rest of the race will be the same as the short course Tri.
KIDS AQUATHON 5-12 years
Swim / Wade on the beach for 5-9 year olds, 9-12 year olds swim to the pontoon and back (subject to conditions)
Run ~1.7km to the end of the track and back (on the track). Parents can run with their kids.
